Mauricio is an accomplished professional expert in Medicaid with an impeccable record of success in facilitating collaborative efforts among government agencies, healthcare providers, advocacy groups, non-profit organizations and consumers in diverse settings. For many years, Mauricio has delivered invaluable information to diverse audiences across the state of Pennsylvania while serving in the roles of facilitator, presenter and trainer. Mauricio’s successful, statewide initiatives and strategies have yielded positive implementation and enrollment outcomes during several Medicaid Managed Care expansions in Pennsylvania, while leading two, mandatory Department of Human Services independent enrollment brokers. Mauricio has also worked with Physical and Behavioral Health Managed Care Plans with emphasis in marketing, outreach, grievance and regulatory departments. Mauricio also represented the Pennsylvania American Cancer Society, where as a project manager he successfully collaborated with health systems to improve education, prevention and cancer screenings for Asians, African American, Latinos and Pacific Islanders. Born and raised in Mexico City, Mauricio gives back to the community and has served on the Board of Directors for several non-profit organization, volunteers within his community and at his church. Currently, Mauricio serves at the board of directors for the Harrisburg Salvation Army. Mauricio’s education is in Sociology and Political Science.
